Short fiction, at its best, can get to the heart of the matter directly. Like the ideal house-guest, it does not overstay its welcome.

I Trust You To Kill Me is deals with the modern day phenomenon of government agencies cutting benefits to meet quotas, in a very real way condemning already vulnerable people to death. It’s a look at the human lives behind those doing the culling.

The actors excelled with good material, despite being not entirely “Off Book.” Julie Martis and Kate Christie were excellent in the roles of civil servants in a very uncivil job.
